Write Me Now- The Ava Affair

Write Me Now is a game to help improve your creativity by practicing writing, which is the key of becoming a good writer. Test your imagination by writing a story that you didn’t choose. You will be given a beginning and an ending, and you get to fill the story with whatever plot you come up with to link them together. Share what you wrote here in the comments space below with other writers and see how they imagined the story to be. So open up your mind and let the stream of ideas gush into reality and let’s write me now.

The Beginning:

I was on the phone reminding the last client on the list of his late payment when I saw him approaching my cubicle. He bent and placed each of his palms on each side of my desk, eyeing me silently until I finished. ‘How is your day?’ he asked quietly but I didn’t mistake it with a suppressed fury. ‘Productive. You?’ I said, waiting for him to explode. ’Ecstatic until exactly 15 minutes ago’ he straightened his lean body and crossed his arms over his chest and frowned. ‘And why is that?’ I tilted my head to one side trying to lighten up his mood ‘because of a resignation letter that I do not approve of’ he scowls, I shifted in my seat making a loud creak with my chair and said ‘I have always wanted to quit, and you know that, so don’t brandish this card on me, Caleb’ I sighed.  ‘Ava, I am not brandishing shit. I just can’t believe you are still considering leaving after all what we have been through’ His frown line deepened as he spoke. Caleb was my boss and lover. After seven years suddenly I couldn’t stand the idea of having an affair with him behind his wife’s back any longer, or let me rephrase that: behind my best friend’s back. I was 22 years old when Anna asked him to hire me in his Real Estate Company, that’s when I first met him. I was job hunting when I met her in a yoga class; she is 9 years older than I am. She was nothing but kind to me, however I couldn’t help it. He was too nice and sweet, he taught me everything that I know now, and I would do anything for both of them. I owe them that much.

….Write me now….

The Ending:

I cut my hair and dyed it black, wore men’s baggy and hoodie, hid my face behind big black shades trying to dodge every police officer I ran into.
